The blue cornflower is the national flower of Germany.  I make this 11 part flower in stages – first, I hand cut all of the round pieces from flat copper sheet.  Then, I form the side flowers by cutting, rolling, soldering and shaping each one.  Afterward, I make the center flower by cutting and punching places for the pistils and stamens to show through.  Next comes the enameling, using two different shades of brilliant cobalt blue.  Once that is all done, I weave the pistils from two different colors of seed beads and assemble all 11 pieces together.  Then, I add the vines and the leaves to accentuate the blossom. This is a vibrant and exciting addition to your Bloom Where You’re Planted Bouquet!  Please contact me for more information.
